Vitality as part of the HR policy at The Next Label

“The mental and physical vitality of our employees is a core part of our culture. "Feeling good is feeling good at work." "Therefore new benefits must contribute to this in any case.”

That’s what Britt from The Next Label told us. Britt is an HR Advisor at The Next Label and is responsible for personnel management, HR projects, and employee wellbeing. If you want to talk about improving benefits and increasing employee engagement, then Britt is the right person.

If you haven’t heard of The Next Label yet, you should definitely check them out. This recruitment company stands out due to their unique culture and driven team of young professionals. They connect IT and finance experts with companies through their labels Cooder, Buro5, Vesper People, Finture Careers, and Flint People. What really makes them different? Their motto "Each themselves, together a team" says it all. You can also see this reflected on the sports shirts. And yes, sports is a big part of the TNL culture.

The Next Label started in 2023 with offering benefits flexibly via Alleo. Britt told us: "We are very much focused on keeping our employees vital in both physical and mental areas. This comes down to being able to work out during breaks, offering knowledge & development sessions, and Open-up. These themes we have highlighted in the Alleo app, which supports each other very well."

Together with Britt, we looked at how Alleo has helped them to project their culture more, stimulate vitality among employees, and increase their overall employee satisfaction.

Why The Next Label started using Alleo

More than just salary

Previously, The Next Label already offered a good salary and various personal development opportunities. This worked fine, but something was missing. Employees needed more variety in secondary benefits, especially in the area of health and well-being.

Market change

The market changed and other recruitment companies were offering more and more secondary benefits. The Next Label did not want to fall behind and therefore decided to look for a modern platform that aligned with their brand values and the needs of their employees.

Choice freedom and diversity

When choosing new benefits, the freedom of choice for employees was an important factor. Employees had varying needs and preferences, and Alleo offered the flexibility to meet these diverse wishes. After an internal survey among TNL employees, they were asked what they would find most interesting: OneFit, Classpass, a budget for a gym of choice, facilitated sports classes, or something completely different. One app for all this turned out to be the perfect solution.

Vitality and societal impact

The Next Label chose to focus the offering on vitality and societal impact. This is also reflected in the selection of their benefits from the Alleo marketplace, where the focus was on health, well-being, mobility, learning, and social impact. With the monthly 'benefit budget', each TNL employee can choose different modules in the app such as health, well-being, healthy eating, development, and social impact. Many TNL'ers choose to spend the budget on the gym, or they save it for a relaxation massage or to buy sports clothing.

Favorite benefits of TNL’ers

Vitality is a top priority at TNL. If you look at their website, you get a good glimpse into the sporty culture.  With events like "Active April", padel tournaments, and other team activities. Sports during breaks is also eagerly utilized. The focus on vitality is clearly reflected in the selection of benefits in the Alleo app. The most popular benefits are:

  1. Treatwell

  2. Decathlon

  3. Basic Fit

  4. Anytime Fitness

  5. David Lloyd

Contribution of Alleo to vitality initiatives

They support their candidates in their development, help companies grow with the right new employees, and hold the personal development of their own employees in high regard.
